Bio Sketch

Linna Place is a long-time member of the Department of History where she has taught a variety of course in the areas of Museum Studies, 10th century social history and material culture, and oversees student internships in history archives and museums. She is presently the Director of International Academic Programs, which reports to the Office of the Provost. IAP manages Study Abroad, student applications for nationally competitive fellowships, and UMKC’s international academic partnerships. She is active in community history organizations.
