Professor Spencer-Carver teaches qualitative research, advanced practice,
integrative seminar, and violence remediation. Her research is focused on
consequences of nuclear and intergeneration family violence related to
individual and family system victimization. This includes the impact of partner
violence on children, the social support for children who had a parent killed by
intimate partner violence, children who have experienced trauma, sexual coercion
and adolescent relationships, and leadership training in social work education.
